   About thirty years ago the surgical world was shaken by sensation  - noninvasive scalpels from ceramics. New instruments amazed with the acuteness, and postoperative seams healed where faster as edges dissected a tissue, not injuring it. But such scalpels haven't entered into use - it has appeared that the usage of traditional metal (even disposable) is more cheap.

   To make cutting edge of a usual scalpel more thin than 0,7 microns is not possible -- such is the metal nature. Its microstructure represents grains, and it turns out the edge cannot be thinner any way the size of its grain. The short description and the basic principal specifications of a ceramic scalpel: a cutting instrument on the basis of the stabilized dioxide of zirconium made from powders of the nano-metric size.
It is biologically inert. Special conditions of sterilization doesn't demand.

   Ceramic scalpels surpass metal in following characteristics:- - A thickness of a cutting edge 0,05-0,1 microns (at metal 0,7 microns); - Service life without a regrinding in 100-150 times above, than at the metal instrument; - Smaller tissue microstructures traumatize (the seam heals in 2-3 times faster) due to smoothing of a microrelief of a cutting surface of a scalpel in comparison with a microrelief of a metal scalpel; - Absolute inactivity to any excited environments.

   As a whole the scalpel consists of replaceable blades and the titanic handle.

   The form of a blade be any shape.
